OUR NAME 'TEGEN' AND LOGO OF ACACIA TREE
Tegen is located on the hill side of a beautiful Yeka Mountain with panoramic view across the city. Tegen is a sanctuary of comfort, beauty, and peace where service, quality and excellence are its hallmark.
A Natural Meeting Place
For ages mankind has sought protection from the sun, wind and rain under the shadow of trees. These safe environments were also a natural meeting place for village get together, schools, marketplaces, as well as resting place for shepherds and their flocks.
TEGEN stands for “Shelter” in Amharic Language
A tree is therefore a fitting symbol for what TEGEN is committed to providing. In Amharic language TEGEN stands for "Shelter"; TEGEN is dedicated to providing good shelter and inspiring meeting place to people, and organizations devoted to making our world a better place. The Acacia & the logo consequently adopted a motto for TEGEN "A RESTFUL CORNER IN A BUSY CITY".
